Membership

Our group accepts for membership physically fit men and women who are at least 18 years of age and who have experience and skills in the outdoors.  They must show an interest in being part of a team and a commitment to participating in ongoing training throughout the year.  In addition all members must complete a Search and Rescue Fundamentals Course prior to going into the field.

As well as completing and maintaining at least a Standard First Aid certificate, members are expected to equip themselves with the necessary personal gear, including rain gear, backpack, good hiking boots, survival gear, first aid gear, and appropriate clothing.

Members are given the opportunity to participate in ongoing training in order to join one or more of the specialty teams, such as Mountain Rescue, Mantracking, Ice Rescue....
